Memberships

Who We're Looking For:

Our ideal member embodies a spirit of curiosity and creativity, with a foundational knowledge of ceramics and a genuine appreciation for the dynamics of a public pottery studio.

While we welcome artists of all skill levels at EarthWorks ClaySpace, when considering memberships we must prioritize individuals who have prior experience in ceramics and are familiar with studio standards + safety protocols. This not only ensures a smoother integration into our community but also allows members to work autonomously and confidently without much guidance or instruction.  A solid understanding of best practices and equipment usage is crucial for maintaining a safe and enjoyable space for all.

Cleanliness is paramount; this is a shared space and must leave it even better than we found it.  We encourage members to lead by example and guide less experienced artists in maintaining a clean studio for all.

Our foundation is built upon the pillars of kindness, respect, and inclusivity; we are looking for members who embody these values and contribute to a positive atmosphere. A pleasant demeanor and a willingness to engage with others help create a welcoming space where artists feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their creativity.  There will be zero tolerance for abusive, hurtful, disrespectful or demeaning behavior of any kind, as well as any intentional misuse or theft of materials.

We encourage members to take an active role in our community. If you’re excited about participating in studio operations - whether through helping with clean up, teaching assistance, or organizing events - then you’ll fit right in! This cooperative spirit not only enriches the creative experience but also strengthens the connections we share as artists.

If you believe you'd be a great member of our studio, please fill out an application using the link below.  Let’s embark on this creative journey together and make a positive impact - one piece of pottery at a time!
